RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Inland Empire United is proud to endorse Jacque Casillas for Corona City Council District 1, recognizing her record of public service, community leadership, and commitment to building a stronger future for Corona.
A lifelong Corona resident, Casillas was raised by Mexican immigrant parents who instilled the values of hard work, education, and integrity. After graduating college during the Great Recession, she became involved in local organizing and public policy, believing lasting change comes through civic engagement and effective government.
Since first being elected to the Corona City Council in 2018, Casillas has focused on delivering tangible improvements for residents while remaining accessible and accountable to the community she serves. She is seeking another term to continue advancing long-term projects that will strengthen Corona for years to come.
Her priorities include investing in parks and neighborhood beautification through urban reforestation, creating safer communities, supporting downtown revitalization, and completing major community projects identified through the city’s strategic planning process.
Casillas has also demonstrated a willingness to lead on difficult issues. She highlighted her work advancing mobile home rent stabilization, supporting resources for immigrant communities, promoting workforce and affordable housing, and maintaining open communication with residents through regular updates and community meetings.
Throughout her public service, Casillas has described herself as a pragmatic leader who believes strong relationships, transparency, and community trust are essential to effective government. She has committed to remaining responsive to constituents and ensuring residents continue to have a meaningful voice in local decision making.
