Inland Empire United Endorses Danny Tillman for San Bernardino City Unified School District Board

Riverside, CA — Inland Empire United is proud to endorse Danny Tillman for San Bernardino City Unified School District Board in the 2026 General Election.

Tillman brings decades of experience in public education, public service, and youth mentorship to the school board. He has served on the San Bernardino City Unified School District Board since the 1990s and spent 41 years working for San Bernardino County Human Services, retiring as a Departmental Information Systems Administrator.

His commitment to young people extends beyond elected office. Tillman began tutoring and mentoring local youth at 18 and became an early leader with Black Future Leaders, helping support Black high school students in pursuing academic achievement, higher education, and leadership opportunities.

On the school board, Tillman’s priorities have included responsible fiscal oversight, classroom technology and infrastructure, early education, and stronger pathways connecting students with college and career opportunities. His experience in county government has also informed his focus on how district resources are managed and whether investments are reaching students effectively.

As public schools face growing demands to prepare students for life beyond graduation, experienced local leadership remains important to ensuring students have access to the resources, technology, and educational opportunities they need.
