Riverside, CA — As communities across the Inland Empire prepare for the November General Election, Inland Empire United is proud to endorse Dr. Tiffanie Tate for California State Senate District 32.
The State Senate plays a central role in shaping policies that affect housing affordability, healthcare access, education, worker protections, environmental standards, and economic opportunity. For Inland Empire families, those decisions have immediate consequences for the cost of living and the quality of life across the region.
Dr. Tate is a retired OB/GYN, U.S. Navy veteran, author, and longtime community advocate. She practiced medicine for approximately twenty years and has described public service as a consistent thread throughout her life, from volunteering through her church to serving in the military and providing care to patients and families.
Her campaign is centered on three primary priorities: strengthening public education, reducing the cost of living, and expanding access to affordable healthcare. She has committed to protecting education funding and classified school employees, expanding affordable housing and workforce development, strengthening worker protections, lowering prescription drug costs, and ensuring families can access comprehensive healthcare without being forced to choose between care and other basic expenses.
Dr. Tate’s professional background also informs her commitment to reproductive freedom and healthcare access. As an OB/GYN, she has emphasized the importance of allowing patients and physicians to make medical decisions without government interference and has pledged to protect access to reproductive care and medical privacy.
Her platform addresses issues that are particularly urgent throughout the Inland Empire. Dr. Tate supports stronger environmental standards for major developments, greater enforcement of community benefits agreements, increased public participation in land-use decisions, and policies aimed at improving air quality in communities affected by freight, warehouse development, and extreme heat.
She has also committed to protecting immigrant communities, strengthening worker rights, supporting prevailing wages and union organizing, and expanding protections for LGBTQ+ Californians and other communities that face discrimination.
Inland Empire United believes Dr. Tate’s combination of healthcare expertise, military service, and community involvement would bring an important perspective to Sacramento. Her stated commitment to listening to residents, maintaining regular communication with constituents, and building relationships with community organizations aligns with IE United’s vision of representative and accountable government.
