Riverside, CA — Inland Empire United is proud to endorse JJ Galvez for California State Assembly District 71 in the November 2026 General Election.
Galvez brings a background in technology consulting and grassroots advocacy to his campaign for State Assembly. An immigrant who came to California for college before building his career and making the state his home, Galvez has centered his campaign on expanding economic opportunity, addressing California’s high cost of living, and ensuring government works for residents rather than special interests.
His commitment to immigrant communities and civic participation has also been shaped by years of advocacy. In his interview with IE United, Galvez discussed his involvement in immigrant rights dating back to high school and emphasized the importance of grassroots organizations in building trust and ensuring communities have a voice in government.
Assembly District 71 includes communities in western Riverside County and southern Orange County. Galvez has also highlighted housing affordability, economic opportunity, healthy communities, and preparedness for wildfires and other natural disasters among the challenges facing the district and California.
