Riverside, CA — Inland Empire United is proud to endorse Frank Gerdine for Chino Valley Unified School District Board in the 2026 General Election.
Gerdine is a community and labor advocate focused on expanding the opportunities available to students after graduation. A central part of his campaign is ensuring students have multiple pathways to success, including college as well as career and skilled-trade opportunities that can lead directly to family-sustaining jobs.
His approach emphasizes partnerships between public schools, educators, labor unions, and regional trades. Gerdine has identified Career Technical Education and programs such as Baldy View ROP as important tools for connecting students with practical training and preparing them for a changing economy.
Gerdine has also emphasized creating schools where students feel safe and supported. He supports strengthening protections for immigrant students, expanding restorative justice and after-school programs, and investing in counselors and other resources that address students’ needs before they become barriers to academic success.
At a time when debates over education can pull attention away from students themselves, Gerdine’s campaign is centered on returning the district’s focus to student opportunity, educational resources, and preparation for life beyond the classroom.
