Born, raised, and educated in Banning, Santana says he entered the race because the city is growing, but many residents have yet to see that growth improve their daily lives. He believes new development should deliver safer neighborhoods, quality jobs, stronger infrastructure, and lasting community benefits instead of placing additional burdens on working families.
Professionally, Santana has worked in workforce development, housing services, education, and nonprofit leadership. Those experiences have shaped his commitment to expanding economic mobility, housing stability, and educational opportunity while ensuring residents have a meaningful voice in the decisions that affect their neighborhoods.
His campaign priorities include increasing financial transparency at City Hall, strengthening community benefit expectations for major development projects, creating pathways into high-quality careers, and ensuring residents are engaged before major decisions are made. He has emphasized that growth should benefit existing residents through investments in infrastructure, public spaces, and long-term economic opportunity.
Santana has also built strong relationships throughout the San Gorgonio Pass through organizations focused on education, workforce development, housing, and community services. He has pledged to remain accessible, explain his votes, and provide greater transparency around city budgets, development proposals, and public investments.
