Inland Empire United Endorses Liza Arellano for Moreno Valley City Council District 2

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Inland Empire United is proud to endorse Liza Arellano for Moreno Valley City Council District 2, recognizing her lifelong commitment to education, community service, and strengthening opportunities for working families.

Local government has a direct impact on the everyday lives of residents, from neighborhood safety and housing to economic opportunity and quality public services. Inland Empire United believes those decisions should be guided by leaders who understand their communities and remain committed to serving them.

As an educator, licensed clinical social worker, and Director of the Master of Social Work Program at California Baptist University, Arellano has dedicated her professional life to supporting children, families, and future community leaders. As a first-generation college graduate and Mexican-American, she brings both professional experience and personal perspective to public service.

Arellano says she entered the race because Moreno Valley deserves thoughtful, responsive leadership that listens to residents and plans responsibly for the city’s future. She believes community voices should play a central role in shaping local decisions and has committed to building stronger connections between City Hall and the neighborhoods it serves.

Her campaign priorities include expanding educational opportunity, improving public health and safety, increasing access to affordable housing, and creating pathways to good-paying jobs. Drawing from her background in social work, she has emphasized policies that invest in working families while strengthening the long-term health of the community.

Throughout her campaign, Arellano has also demonstrated a strong commitment to community engagement. She pledged to knock on every door in the district, continue holding town halls, and remain accessible through regular communication with residents. She has also committed to rejecting contributions from warehouse developers, oil companies, and utility companies, emphasizing that community interests should come before special interests.

Inland Empire United is proud to endorse Liza Arellano because of her commitment to responsive leadership, community engagement, and creating opportunities for families across Moreno Valley.
