Inland Empire United Endorses Denise Davis for Redlands City Council

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Inland Empire United is proud to endorse Denise Davis for Redlands City Council, recognizing her proven record of public service, commitment to working families, and leadership in creating a more equitable and inclusive Redlands.

Strong local leadership is measured by results. Inland Empire United supports leaders who listen to residents, respond to community needs, and build public policies that improve everyday life for working families.

Since first being elected in 2018, Davis has helped shape some of Redlands’ most significant community initiatives. She helped secure $40 million in state funding to address homelessness, supported the creation of the city’s first Homeless Services Coordinator and Sustainability Coordinator positions, established the Utility Bill Assistance Program, and recently launched Redlands’ first Food Security and Child Nutrition Task Force.

Her work reflects a broader commitment to ensuring everyone belongs in Redlands. As the city’s first openly LGBTQ+ elected official, Davis has championed Pride Month proclamations, LGBTQ+ visibility, Black History Month and AAPI Heritage Month recognition, while continuing to advocate for policies that strengthen inclusion and opportunity for all residents.

Davis has also prioritized environmental sustainability, affordable housing, worker protections, and transparent government. She regularly hosts community coffee meetings, provides public recaps after council meetings, and has created forums like the Climate Policy Task Force and Redlands Youth Council to ensure residents have meaningful opportunities to help shape local decision making.

Inland Empire United is proud to endorse Denise Davis because of her demonstrated leadership, measurable accomplishments, and commitment to building a healthier, more inclusive future for Redlands.

The November General Election will take place on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. To learn more about Inland Empire United’s endorsed candidates, visit https://ieunited.org/2026-endorsements/.
