Inland Empire United Endorses Ron Alvarado for San Bernardino City Council, Ward 1

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Inland Empire United is proud to endorse Ron Alvarado for San Bernardino City Council, Ward 1, recognizing his commitment to neighborhood investment, transparent government, and putting working families first.

Strong neighborhoods require leaders who are connected to their communities and committed to making local government work for residents. Inland Empire United believes Ward 1 deserves leadership that prioritizes accountability, public investment, and opportunities for every family.

A lifelong San Bernardino resident, Alvarado currently works as a government fraud investigator and has spent years serving his community through neighborhood leadership and public service. He has served as Chair of the City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission, participated on the Omnitrans Transit Rider Advisory Council, and organized with neighborhood associations to improve the quality of life for local residents.

Alvarado’s priorities include strengthening tenant protections, improving neighborhood infrastructure and parks, expanding opportunities for young people, and increasing transparency in city government. He has also emphasized responsible stewardship of public resources and ensuring city investments reach communities that have experienced decades of underinvestment.

Throughout his campaign, Alvarado has emphasized community engagement by meeting residents where they are, supporting grassroots organizations, and advocating for greater public participation in City Hall decision making. He believes local government should be responsive, accessible, and accountable to the people it serves.

Inland Empire United is proud to endorse Ron Alvarado because of his commitment to neighborhood leadership, government accountability, and creating a stronger future for San Bernardino’s Ward 1.
