Riverside, CA — Inland Empire United today announced its endorsement of Aram Ayra for Riverside City Council Ward 2 in the June 2, 2026 primary election.
Riverside residents are facing rising costs across housing, utilities, and childcare, requiring leadership that is prepared to address affordability at every level. Inland Empire United believes Aram Ayra brings a clear policy focus and a strong commitment to advancing solutions that lower costs and expand opportunity for working families.
Ayra has centered his campaign on tackling the cost of living through housing affordability, rent stabilization, and new approaches to local revenue that prioritize residents over corporate interests. His proposals include exploring fees on large-scale corporate housing ownership, updating development impact fees, and investing in childcare and utility relief for families across Ward 2.
As a city commissioner and member of the Budget Engagement Commission, Ayra brings direct experience with the city’s budget process and has emphasized the need for more transparent and accountable use of public funds. He has also advocated for stronger tenant protections, expanded immigrant services, and a more proactive role for local government in addressing community needs.
His leadership reflects a commitment to ensuring that city government is responsive to residents and focused on long-term investment in Riverside communities.
