Inland Empire United Endorses Michael Tubbs for Lieutenant Governor

Riverside, CA — Inland Empire United today announced its endorsement of Michael Tubbs for Lieutenant Governor of California in the June 2, 2026 primary election.

As one of California’s fastest-growing regions, the Inland Empire requires state leadership that understands the urgency of housing costs, economic opportunity, and educational access. Inland Empire United believes Michael Tubbs brings a track record of results and a governing vision that speaks directly to those challenges.

“As Mayor, Michael Tubbs proved that bold, progressive policy is both politically possible and effective in improving people’s lives, even in purple areas of the state like ours,” said Sky Allen, Executive Director of Inland Empire United. “We are proud to endorse him as he now brings his vision and record to Sacramento!”

As former Mayor of Stockton, Tubbs led measurable reductions in violence, restored fiscal stability, and advanced economic mobility initiatives that received national attention. His leadership demonstrates that forward-looking policy can deliver tangible outcomes for working families.

Tubbs has emphasized collaboration with regional stakeholders and community-based organizations as part of his governing approach. Inland Empire United views this model as essential to ensuring statewide decision-making reflects the needs and priorities of Inland Empire communities.

The endorsement followed a regional evaluation process grounded in policy alignment, candidate engagement, and shared commitment to long-term investment in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
